I read search like a system, then build strategy around it

From software engineering to semantic SEO

I came to SEO from software engineering. Engineers learn to ask how a system actually works before changing it, and that habit carried over: before recommending anything, I want to understand how a search engine is likely to interpret a page, which signals it can see, and why one source gets chosen over another.

That's why so much of my preparation happens in primary sources such as Google's documentation, its patents and its quality rater guidelines, rather than in tactics lists. Formal training came through a semantic SEO certification under Koray Tugberk GÜBÜR, whose framework of topical maps and semantic content networks underpins how I plan every site.

How I work

• Research first. No recommendations until I understand your market's entities, search intent and competitors.
• One strategy, two audiences. Every plan is built for people who read and for machines that rank and cite.
• Working documents, not decks. You get topical maps, briefs and prioritized fixes your team can execute, and you keep all of it.
• Measured on business results. Leads, sales and admissions come first; rankings and AI visibility are the leading indicators.

What I believe about SEO

Search behaves like a system. Google and AI assistants model topics through entities, relationships and trust. Sites that cover a subject completely and connect it clearly earn topical authority; sites that chase keywords one page at a time decay.

AI search isn't a separate discipline. The structure that makes content extractable by ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews is the same entity-clear structure that ranks in Google. Building it twice would mean it wasn't built properly the first time. More on that in AI search optimization.

The work stays human. Behind every topical map is a person looking for an answer, and behind every client is a business I want to see grow.
